Sony DSLR SLT-A33 is a 14.2 megapixel camera. It's a new and innovative DSLR camera, featuring a technology that utilizes translucent mirror technology. This feature, as well as an assortment of other technological highlights, makes the Alpha 33 a superb camera to have. Translucent Mirror Technology is exclusive to Sony. It allows the DSLR α33 to both shoot and focus with the speed and precision of the Phase Detection AF. Typical DSLRs cannot do this. It's one or the other. Not at the same time. Sony's DSLR Alpha 33 is the world's first DSLR camera that can direct light to both the image sensor and the Phase Detection AF sensor simultaneously. Most DSLR cameras that have video shooting capability shoot mediocre videos. This is because they aren't built for this functionality. They're slow and they produce low quality video. Sony's STLT-A33 fixes this by allowing users to take Full HD videos of fast moving subjects. This is possible and is attributed to the translucent mirror technology that was described above. A til/swivel 3" LCD screen is built into this Sony DSLR camera. This is a handy feature for photographers wanting to try out different shooting positions.
