Sony Handycam HDR-CX350V is a mid-level performance flash based video camcorder. This device supports 1920 x 1080 Full HD video recording and 7 megapixel high resolution still images. Data is stored on a 32GB embedded flash media. A media slot allows users to expand beyond the system's storage limits through Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick PRO Duo, Memory Stick Pro-HG Duo and SD/SDHC/SDXC media types. Handycam is a great affordable video camcorder solution. Its flash-based solution is more cost-effective than hard drive based camcorders. Flash-based camcorders are more durable as well, having less moving parts. They're faster in recording and accessing data. HDR-CX50V has 12X Optical / 160X Digital Zoom. It has a SteadyShot image stabilization feature that helps reduce camera shake and an "Exmor R" CMOS sensor that delivers good low-light shooting performance. This Handycam video camcorder records videos at 1920 x 1080 Full HD and shoots images at 7 megapixels. It also has a dual recording mode which allows users to easily and conveniently take still pictures while recording video. No switching out of the different shooting modes is required. Another feature found both for video recording and picturing taking is geo-tagging. The HDR-CX50V has a built-in GPS receiver that works with NAVTEQ maps. Videos and pictures can be geo-tagged through the camcorder's touch screen LCD display at the moment the shot is taken. Direct Copy is a technology that allows the HDR-CX50V to copy files onto an external hard drive without a computer. This feature is convenient when the embedded flash drive gets full, which is quite possible if one is on vacation and has been shooting a lot of large high-definition video and still images.
