Sony Handycam HDR-TG5V is a premium high-definition video camcorder. This is a flash based camcorder, with 16GB flash storage embedded in the unit. The HDR-TG5V has a new and innovative design. It is thin and light. The camcorder is built out of pure-titanium. The body is slim, light and durable and makes for an ideal travel companion. HDR-TG5V records videos at 1920 x 1080 Full HD and shoots 4 megapixel still images. Videos and images are stored onto a 16GB flash drive embedded into the camcorder. A media slot that supports removable Memory Stick Duo media allows for additional storage. This camcorder has 10X Optical / 120X Digital Zoom. Capture videos and images from a distance. Two features highlight the HDR-TG5V camcorder. Dual recording allows simultaneous video and still image recording. This means that there is no need to switch between the two shooting modes, which interrupt the shooting experience. Geo-tagging is another feature that comes in handy. With a built-in GPS receiver and NAVTEQ maps, users of the Handycam HDR-TG5V can geo-tag shots through the touchscreen LCD display. Sony HDR-TG5V uses premium Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens.
